We were out running errands and Abbie asked when "Daddy is retiring?" Sadly, I had to tell her not for another 10 years. She then told me "I don't want daddy to go back to Iraq. I afraid he isn't going to come home." Oh man, Oh man these are the worst talks because those are my worst fears too. I simply told her that her dad had the best training and he knows what he needs to do to come home.
I have a feeling this will be one of the worse deployments we have done so far. Patrick has become very attached to his dad. Needless to say it mutual but he asks everyday where is daddy at? We shall see.
